Days of the Living Dead Season 5 Episode 3: Daunted House

Tensions rise in August as the Zombie Army finds itself six weeks behind on the Statesville build. The normally happy-go-lucky Adam (Galaxy) gets an attitude check, Kyle and Gehmlich continue to hassle each other, Bobby's ready to kill everybody and John, for once, is speechless. Will the crew be able to bring it all together before opening weekend?

Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe at the Royal George Theatre

Edgar Allan Poe sits in the asylum, alone in the darkness of his mind – trying desperately to convince himself that he’s not mad. The spell he weaves brings us deep inside his complex mind as we experience directly four of his most famous stories and several of his most troubled characters.

The Raven – a narrative poem of a distraught man visited by a beguiling Raven – whom drives the man into slow madness.

Silence – an eerily beautiful short story of a woman’s complex mind struggling between herself and a Demon – in the wake of chaos and silence.

The Bells – a phonetically hypnotic poem representing the seasons of life – from a beautiful “jingling and tinkling” start waning toward a dark “moaning and groaning” demise – the bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells.

The Fall of the House of Usher – a story focused on the psychological complexities of hyperesthesia (sensory overload), hypochondria and acute anxiety – all issues facing Madeline – which drive her to resolved madness.

The Tell Tale Heart – a short story of a madman who attempts to convince himself – and us – that he is indeed sane despite the fact he has committed murder and experiences hallucinations of the “old man’s hideous heart still beating under the floorboards.”

Once properly attired, zombies will be led on a pub-crawl that will overtake local bars along the road. FitzGerald’s will host the catered after party with un-deadly fun. In the true spirit of the un-dead, zombies will proceed between venues in silence. Once the crawl is over, zombies can resume their search for brains at their favorite Berwyn haunts until the late hours of the evening! Evil Dead The Musical NOW PLAYING! In Chicago

  • Playing at: Broadway Playhouse
  • Dates: September 23, 2014 – October 12, 2014
  • Runtime: Two hours with an intermission

Ridiculously funny and bloody awesome! That’s what theatregoers from Toronto to NYC and around the world have been saying about the record-breaking musical comedy sensation that takes all the elements of Sam Raimi’s cult classic films (The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness) to make one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time! The only musical in the world where audiences can sit in the “Splatter Zone” and get drenched from the mayhem, or watch from a safe (and dry) distance.

Five college students spend the weekend in an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s all up to our hero, Ash, and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Evil Dead the Musical, has it all – some dismembered limbs, demons telling bad jokes, and catchy tunes (“Look Who’s Evil Now”, “All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons”).

  • May be inappropriate for 12 and under. Contains strong language plus a hilarious amount of fake blood, and over-the-top guts and gore! Those seated in the designated ‘Splatter Zone’ VIP seat locations will be splashed by stage ‘blood’ and get increasingly wet over the course of the performance.
